My Scary Hospital Experience

Two weeks ago, I didn't blog. I was ill, and admitted in the hospital. If you know me well, you will know this is strange for me. I can't remember ever being admitted into a hospital or ever taking drip in my entire life (although my mum told me this happened when I had measles at about 2 years old).

So here I was in a very unfamiliar territory. I had been rushed to the hospital the night before, and they had asked that I be admitted, but I had begged my husband to
tell them to let me go back home after being medicated, and I will go back a day later to complete it. After much persuasion, they allowed us go. The next night, we were back at the hospital, in a more serious state. The thought that I was going to be admitted was scary enough because I felt I would be away from my husband, and in the hospital alone all night.

By the time they brought all the medications, and got ready to pass the drip through, I surprised myself, and busted into tears. Everything was just so strange. My husband kept consoling me, till I calmed down. The best thing that happened was that my husband went home, packed some things for me, came back, and slept in the private ward with me all night. I don't know what I would have done had I been alone.

The next day, I was in the hospital all day, constantly on drips and injections. I left that night around 10.00pm after my medication was completed. I refused to stay there for a second night. By this time, my mum was already waiting for us at home, cos we told her not to bother coming to the hospital. She was ready to pamper my life out, and it was all so strange to me, so I resisted her, lol.

It wasn't a fun phase, but I thank God everything is fine now.
