  12. Totally agree

I am still struggling to understand why some people post bits about their mundane, trifling, boring, inane and inconsequential life on the internet....
    'I wore green shoes today..'
'I went to a picnic yesterday....'
'I had a fight with my boyfriend....'
    'We made up.....'
    'We broke up again....'
    Really?

Jeez! outside this cyber world, some people are just not worth it!

Cyber bullies, have turned blogsville into something else!

Having plenty comments or followers does not mean you have 'friends'.

So like this poem, that i am going to read it again!

    kudos sistah!

  18. You were true to your words in writing this poem which really reflects my previous blog post about 'Potential Pitfalls of Social Media'.

The Internet for its benefits gives some people a false sense of anonymity which doesn't really exist.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yea, I wrote the poem three weeks ago.
I guess when people feel they are anonymous, the begin to act out of character, cos they feel no one is watching them

  22. That poem is so on point on so many levels. Congratulations again on your published book. Ko ni je asemo l'oruko Oluwa.

  23. Well written. You hit the nail on the head deep into the skull. What's the point of living a fake life on social media platforms when the real life is bland and empty? Well, I'll excuse some people who see this as the only way to express themselves but then, what do we say about those who go too far and begin to literally 'oppress' online?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I just said a prayer for you. Remember He said whe we pass through fire, He'll be with us. Stay strong. This too shall pass.

    I like your poem. :o)

  25. lol this needs to be on the first page of every social networking website... to remind people to realise it is a vitual world.

  33. I don't understand the kind of pleasure people derive from having so many friends on facebook. People you know, the ones you don't know and the ones you will never post a message on their wall and the other way round!

That part of people that cannot look their mate in the eyes and call them stupid making some funny comments on facebook and twitter is the most amusing.

  34. Nice one @ilola. It does seem that some people cant separate real life from cyber life. till you drop off fb/twitter and realise that not one of your 3000 friends bothered to ask after you.
