Welcome to The Good Life...
Everyone got to fight against his or her own weaknesses. Self control and discipline is a long term quality one should cultivate. Above all we have limitations because we were all born imperfect.
We are all born imperfect but with the grace of God, there is hope!
Yes o. We just have to keep working at it.
life oh life...mazino has said it all.
Classic case of Dr Jerkll and Mr Hyde. I love this.
I also found the picture at the end very fitting. I struggle too to rise above that indiscipline. :)
We all have to deal with it, we know ourselves the most
I love it, u wrote it?Yep we're our own worst enemy. But like Myne said I'd rise above that indiscipline.
Yes I wrote it. Thanks
Overcoming the flesh is one of Life's greatest victories.
Yes it is. Sometimes, it rears its ugly head
I Love this..not an easy task but we all at some point have to fight against our own flesh..
Thanks. Its a continual battle we must fight
love it! love it! just l-o-v-e it! :Doh! the flesh! flesh! how it has dragged many to their graves! The bible talked about, the spirit willing, but the flesh weak.LORD, would continue to have Mercy upon us, amen.
Awww, thanks. We just need to hold on to God to help us with our weaknesses.
Nice! Really nice!
A man who's able to conquer himself will conquer the world for sure.Thank you for this.- LDP
If only we would all be victorious at this
This was amazing, that picture did it for me.Great one.
Glad you like it.
Very well written @ilolaThe write up was very graphical and the picture did it good too.We alll need to continually ask for the grace to overcome OUR FLESH.Thanks for sharing
Awww thanks. Thank God it passed a message across
Hmmmm! This was one awesome piece! Indeed, we are all in a battle - a battle with ourselves. We need to kill that part of us that refuses to allow us get to our utmost best! Nice one, Atilola. This is a classic!
Yaay, classic abi? Yes, we must constantly rise above the things that make us move forward
WOW!!!!! Apostle Paul would be proud. I would have been disappointed if the burial was the end, and that would be far from the truth cos we fight this monster which is ourselves DAILY. I guess that's why we are told to "reckon" it dead. I loved this line: "Without you, my life would have been better, but I don’t seem to know how to get away from you." This was well written. Kudos!
Really? I would have been disappointed too if the burial was the end. The line I love most is How can you kill you? Thanks
Wow this was such a deep analogy.... its was definitely worth the read and it is very relatable.
Yay, thanks for the compliment. And thanks for dropping by
'I would that I had a witness who has successfully conquered self? Somebody, anybody?' This was my fb status about 2 weeks ago. Really, true victory is beoing able to conquer self! It can be very liberating! Thank you for this, I absolutely love the way you captured the struggle in phases, lovely!
Thanks so much. Glad you loved it. So was anyone able to say they conquered self?
None.....no not one, I believe it is possible though....
Nice Nice Nice!!!...as I read I couldn't help flashing back at times I struggled.
Hmmmm, we all have our own to deal with
Wow this is truly amazing. Well done. Very true as well and a complete picture of the truth.. I like it!
Awwww thanks lady. How's preps going?
Nice one @ilola. I can surely relate. The battle against the flesh is lifelong o.
Yes o, we have to continue dealing with it.
Hmmm! In fact, it's sadly true that we tend to be our worst enemies. But I suppose knowing this is a good step towards progress? I like the way you wrote it...
What's your opinion on this? Let's learn from one another.
