Everyone got to fight against his or her own weaknesses. Self control and discipline is a long term quality one should cultivate. Above all we have limitations because we were all born imperfect.
Hmmmm! This was one awesome piece! Indeed, we are all in a battle - a battle with ourselves. We need to kill that part of us that refuses to allow us get to our utmost best! Nice one, Atilola. This is a classic!
WOW!!!!! Apostle Paul would be proud. I would have been disappointed if the burial was the end, and that would be far from the truth cos we fight this monster which is ourselves DAILY. I guess that's why we are told to "reckon" it dead. I loved this line: "Without you, my life would have been better, but I don’t seem to know how to get away from you." This was well written. Kudos!
'I would that I had a witness who has successfully conquered self? Somebody, anybody?' This was my fb status about 2 weeks ago. Really, true victory is beoing able to conquer self! It can be very liberating! Thank you for this, I absolutely love the way you captured the struggle in phases, lovely!
Hmmm! In fact, it's sadly true that we tend to be our worst enemies. But I suppose knowing this is a good step towards progress? I like the way you wrote it...
